The Holiday Inn Express and Suites NW Houston is looking for passionate and energetic Breakfast Host to join our team! Under general supervision, according to policy, prepares the Breakfast Buffet for guests, maintains the area in a clean and neat manner, and assists guests by serving coffee and tea. Greets guests and answers questions to maintain a positive image ensuring excellent guest service.

  • Check station prior to opening for cleanliness of work area.
  • Clear dirty dishes, glasses and utensils, clean and reset tables.
  • Control food waste, loss and usage. Assist in correcting food cost problems.
  • Clean/organize storeroom, refrigerator, and freezer.
  • Clean and maintain breakfast equipment and items including dishware, glassware, coffee pot, etc.
  • Wash work tables/area and walls including appliances and equipment. Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedule (storage areas, cabinets, etc.).
  • Prepares breakfast by stocking the serving areas before the serving hours: includes making coffee, and may include slicing fruit, mixing juice, stocking pastry trays, heating frozen items, and other cooking/baking according to brand standards. Also prepares and replenishes bagged breakfasts.
  • Monitors guests’ satisfaction of the breakfast, and informs General Manager of special comments made by guests.
  • Conducts inventory of all food and service items in order to maintain proper serving levels; may place order with vendors for routine items.
  • Breaks down the serving line: i.e. refrigerates items as necessary; washes all coffee pots; cleans all counters/tables.


  • Requires ability to follow verbal directions.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures as well as cleaning supplies.
  • Requires ability to work without direct supervision.
