    Are you a problem solver who enjoys working with your hands?  Are you ready to join a company that will invest in your future?  If you answered yes then keep reading!  The Staybridge Suites Humble is hiring a Part-Time Maintenance Technician for our brand new property.  We are looking for an individual who can ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and secured. Under general direction, maintains the physical plant and grounds of the hotel.  Effects necessary repairs, and performs preventive maintenance procedures in a manner responsive to guest satisfaction and to preservation of company assets in a safe, cost- effective manner.  Also responsible for routine custodial duties.


    • Provides the highest quality guest service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
    • Follow proper use of approved chemicals and accurately label chemical containers.  Always use goggles and gloves when handling chemicals. Complete Chemical Training and Blood borne Pathogen Training.
    • Along with normal carpentry, plumbing and painting duties the Maintenance Engineer must be capable of operating hand and power tools and reading, interpreting and measuring metering device.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specification and operating instructions.
    • Read and complete work orders and may be required to supervise and/or train certain workers.
    • In order to detect malfunctions and repair equipment must be able to dismantle equipment and install working parts.
    • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and secured.
    • Make structural repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patch or replace plaster/plasterboard, paint walls, ceilings, trim and cut and lay flooring (linoleum, tile, carpet, etc.).
    • May bend/cut conduit pipe, wire and drill holes in walls, floors and ceiling for connections; clean clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures’ connect water supplies and drainage pipelines and perform simple wiring and maintenance repair.
    • Check all exterior lights, public area lighting and signage daily (parking lot lights, high rise, entrance sign, walkway lighting, corridor, lobby, elevator, etc.). Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
    • Conduct AM and PM property walks.
    • Complete and track guestroom and equipment preventative maintenance utilizing PM works.
    • Record daily checklist, meter readings, pool/spa readings, temperature logs, and maintenance pass-on log.
    • Responsible for contacting vendors.  Obtain bids and monitor vendor’s service.


    • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school, supplemented by 12 to 18 months of technical school.
    • Requires minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance or related field.
    • Requires ability to walk and stand during the work shift.  Requires ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout the work week, but may lift 20 - 25 pounds intermittently during work shift.
