The Staybridge Suites and TownePlace Suites Houston Clear Lake is excited to announce an opening for a Sales Coordinator to assist in the hotel team's sales and marketing efforts! 



  • Providing the highest quality of customer service to hotel guests at all times, setting an example for all hotel staff to follow
  • Conducting site tours for extended stay guests and social groups with the objective of closing the business!
  • Assisting Director of Sales in outgoing correspondence to hotel clients (e.g. emails to clients, contracts, proposals, sales flyers, thank you letters, etc)
  • Serving as liason between Director of Sales and front desk staff to ensure special client requests are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assisting Director of Sales in administration of in-house mining program to provide leads for new business  
  • Handling all inside leads for social/leisure groups (walk-ins, inquiry phone calls, emails) and closing the business!
  • Developing a clear understanding of hotel’s revenue maximization strategy and quoting appropriate rates
  • Assisting General Manager & Director of Sales in planning and execution of sales blitzes and client appreciation events
  • Responsible for handling all aspects of meetings and social events held in hotel's meeting room
  • Accompanying General Manager and/or Director of Sales on outside sales appointments
  • Conducting tele-prospecting calls and internet research to help hotel’s sales team identify sources for potential business
  • Networking with In-House Guests one evening a week during hotel’s early evening dinner & drinks reception
  • Helping to ensure that IHG Priority Club guests receive loyalty program points and gifts
  • Attending and participating in weekly sales meetings

  • Ability to build rapport with customers and gain their trust through a commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to effectively negotiate
  • Self motivated individual who can function effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Occasionally required to work Saturday’s
  • Prior sales experience is a plus
  • Prior hotel experience is a plus
