Overview

Burger Theory, located inside the Holiday Inn Houston Downtown, is looking for a Restaurant Supervisor who will provide daily supervision and direction of the service staff. Our menu uses new flavors to reinvent classic dishes, and offers guests customizable options to excite their taste buds and create the perfect meal.  The Restaurant Supervisor will assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality standards for Burger Theory and interact with guests to ensure a positive guest experience.  We offer competitive pay, a flexible work schedule, free parking, and the opportunity to advance to other areas of the business. Responsibilities

  • In partnetship with the Food & Beverage Director, oversee every aspect restaurant front-of-house operations.
  • Ensures excellent guest hospitality and service that exceeds expectations.
  • Ensures that the restaurant is adequately staffed to meet guest needs.
  • Controlling day-to-day operations - profit & loss, by following cash control/security procedures, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Operating the business in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws.
  • In conjunction with Food & Beverage Directr, will directly impact interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Will assist with all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties, completed accurately, on time and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Manage all shifts, which include daily decision-making, staff support, scheduling and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
  • Maximizing table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour.
  • Enforcing safe work behaviors to maintain a safe environment for both guests and crew members.
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness standards.
  • Meet the restaurant's P&L, and expense goals
  • Promoting suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintaining professional behavior while creating a warm, fun, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Preferably fast casual experience and background
  • Shows professionalism for each guest, fellow crew and managers
  • Ability to work weekends and/or overtime as the job demands
  • Able to lift 40 pounds
  • Can work "on their feet" for extended periods of time
  • Able to sustain high energy activities for extended periods of time
  • Can carry full trays safely and consistently
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance required
  • Related training and/or job experience that would enable applicant to demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities to perform job
  • Be able to take ownership of your work and willing to be held accountable for your actions
  • Must have stage presence at all times
