Pathfinder Development is thrilled to announce an opening for Director of Sales at our newest property in NE Houston.  The Staybridge Suites Generation Park is scheduled to open in early 2018.   The Director of Sales & Marketing must be passionate, motivated, an innovator, an industry leader, with a successful proven track record in achieving strategic objectives and business growth potential. Ability to unite employees in a common commitment to achieve and exceed goals


As Director of Sales, your principal responsibilities will include:

-Thoroughly researching the market to identify strong lead sources and demand generators with highest room night potential for hotel and developing a plan to penetrate and then saturate these accounts
-Conducting cold calls, telemarketing calls, email prospecting, internet research, guided site tours and networking with in-house guests to scour all avenues for potential business. We are looking for a proactive sales professional who excels in selling value, not price
-Creating relationships with active area companies and local demand generators and maintaining them by becoming a reliable trusted advisor and consultant for key travel decision makers instead of just a typical supplier of rooms
-Work with General Manager on revenue management techniques designed to maximize top line performance for hotel.
-Ownership of the sales process through constant identification of new sources of business, saturation of existing accounts and targeted marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this exciting position will possess the following traits and qualities:

  • Track record of success in outside sales required
  • Enthusiastic, goal-oriented professional with a passion for achievement and success
  • Prior sales experience within hotel industry strongly preferred
  • Marriott/IHG/Hilton experience is a plus
